1. Ice skating at Parc Jean-Drapeau
There’s nothing quite like lacing up your skates and gliding along the skating trail at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced skater, the festive atmosphere and twinkling lights will transport you straight into a winter fairytale.

2. Enjoy a hot chocolate at the Christmas Tavern
Treat yourself to a delicious, creamy hot chocolate at the Christmas Tavern. With its cozy ambiance and magical décor, it truly feels like stepping into a Christmas movie.

3. Visit the Place des Arts Christmas Market
If you love local crafts, unique gifts, and seasonal treats, the Place des Arts christmas market is a must. It’s the perfect spot to find thoughtful gifts while soaking up the festive spirit.

4. The LUMINO winter festival
For its 16th edition, LUMINO returns to transform downtown and the Quartier des Spectacles into a massive outdoor light trail. Every evening until 11 p.m., Montreal lights up with over 30 artistic and interactive installations across 15 iconic locations. LUMINO celebrates public art in all its forms projections, illuminated sculptures, immersive works, and cutting-edge technological creations.

5. Place des Arts ice skating
Located in the heart of the Quartier des Spectacles, right next to the LUMINO festival, the Place des Arts ice skating is a winter classic in Montreal. Surrounded by lights, music, and downtown energy, it offers a festive atmosphere perfect for a outing with friends, as a couple, or with family. After skating, extend the experience with a hot chocolate at Café Tranquille, which overlooks the rink.

6. Explore the illuminated Old Montreal
Old Montreal turns into a real fairytale during the holiday season. Stroll through its cobblestone streets and admire the festive lights that add magic to every corner.

7. Walk along Wellington Street in Verdun
For a unique outing, head to Verdun and discover Wellington Street. Enjoy the Pôle Well experience, featuring choirs and the Christmas village at Notre-Dame church, spanning over 400 square feet. Don’t forget to stop by the enchanted alley, a perfect spot to capture beautiful photos.

8. Candlelight Christmas concerts
For an intimate and enchanting experience, Candlelight concerts are a must. In a soft atmosphere lit by hundreds of candles, musicians perform Christmas classics such as O Holy Night, The Nutcracker, Let It Snow, and many more. An ideal activity for music lovers and romantic evenings.

9. Sledding at Mount Royal park
In winter, Mount Royal park transforms into a true sledding playground. Several slopes are available for all ages, including the popular area near Beaver Lake. You can bring your own sled or rent one on site, making it a simple and accessible way to enjoy the season.

10. Attend The Nutcracker ballet
